Todd Applebaum is an experienced biopharmaceutical executive with a distinguished track record in business strategy, manufacturing, operations, and supply chain management. He works with a spectrum of life science companies across the pharmaceutical, biologics and medical device sectors.
As Managing Director at Converge Consulting, Mr. Applebaum built a team of industry consultants and practitioners with expertise in strategy, operations and execution, serving cell & gene therapy, biologics and pharmaceutical clients in achieving critical business objectives. The team was recognized as a Top 10 Pharma Consulting Company for supply chain and operations services prior to becoming a division of Dark Horse Consulting Group, Inc.
Before building Converge, Mr. Applebaum held leadership roles in the biopharmaceutical industry, and served as Vice President of Technical Operations at Ovascience, Inc., leading the Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, and Technical Services functions as the company transitioned from research to commercial operations.
Mr. Applebaum’s leadership in the industry grew from a focus on Life Science Operations, analyzing industry strategies and best practices as Vice President of Research for the Healthcare and Life Science industries at Gartner, Inc. Areas of research focus included Building Patient Outcomes-Focused Operations, Operational Implications of Personalized and Precision Medicines, Global Planning, and Track & Trace Technologies.
In earlier roles, Mr. Applebaum built and led previous management consulting practice focused on the needs of life sciences companies at Maxiom Consulting Group. He also served with the Manufacturing practice at Deloitte Consulting and Benchmarking Partners, advising senior executives through a MIT executive education program on "Developing the CEO Team’s Value Chain Network Strategy."
Applebaum’s work with manufacturers began at General Motors and TRW. He holds a BS in Industrial Engineering from General Motors Institute and a MBA from Carnegie Mellon University.
