Jake D. Mason is a seasoned clinical systems and operations leader with more than 24 years of experience in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries. He has a strong background in IRT/RTSM system management, clinical trial operations, and cross-functional stakeholder engagement. Jake brings deep expertise in system integration, vendor oversight, UAT script writing and execution, and regulatory compliance across all phases of clinical development.
Most recently, Jake served as Senior Clinical Systems Lead at ICON, where he directed cross-functional data systems projects and served as a key liaison for internal and external stakeholders on clinical systems strategy and implementation. Prior to that, he held consulting roles at Daiichi Sankyo and Agios Pharmaceuticals, leading EDC-to-CDR upgrades, IRT builds, and system testing for global clinical programs.
Earlier in his career, Jake held multiple leadership roles at Genentech/Roche, including IRT Global Lead and Clinical Trial Systems Implementation Leader. He managed vendor relationships, oversaw clinical systems deployment for large-scale trials, and served as the primary escalation point for IRT, EDC, and safety systems. His foundational experience as a Clinical Trial Manager and Systems Project Manager provided hands-on knowledge of study conduct and clinical technologies.
Jake holds a Bachelor of Science in Health Science from California State University, Fresno, and is proficient with a wide range of clinical solutions, including IRT/RTSM, EDC (Rave), CTMS, Veeva eTMF, and PRO/eCOA platforms.
