Ryan Duffy

Consultant

Project Manager with extensive experience in technology transfer and manufacturing of CGT drug products in preclinical, early development, and clinical stages

About Ryan

Ryan’s foundation for success as a Project Manager in CGT focuses not only on execution, but also on fostering positive relationships crucial to collaboration and advancement of drug products. At Dark Horse, he works with clients as a Project Manager to ensure that the triple constraints (cost, scope, and time) remain in balance. As each client’s program grows, so do the number of collaborators and partners (i.e. CDMOs, CROs, etc.) involved. Ryan fosters a robust project governance structure to stitch together a cohesive network of partners, ensuring healthy collaboration and communication and minimizing risk in order to drive success.

Ryan also specializes in technology transfers, which represent a challenging but fundamental step on the path to treating patients. Ryan’s numerous tech transfer successes have been underpinned by a forward thinking, risk-based approach and unwavering commitment to generating and sustaining momentum.

Before joining DHC, Ryan first spent a decade working in manufacturing and quality across biotech, pharmaceutical and medical devices. He then joined Minaris Regenerative Medicine (formerly Hitachi Chemical Advanced Therapeutics Solutions) and supported the quality release of cell therapy products. From there he began to plan and execute operational excellence projects, finding his niche within project management. He quickly transitioned into a full time project manager and led enterprise-wide clinical manufacturing and technology transfer projects in support of IND and BLA submissions. While at Minaris Regenerative Medicine, Ryan also built project management best practices, supported business development and maintained positive financial KPIs.
